It is a busy day. Since I have started the sign-off project, my coffee rations increase almost x2 times!
Okay, that was just digression.
Welcome again!
Today I Finished the about me page. From the design side, I did not have any trouble. I am convinced that the template I have chosen is still being right. I adore the white backgrounds, strong, contrasting fonts. Furthermore, I can't wait for the full filled page, with finished pieces and shoots of them.
On the other side, it was a lot of language experiences. I have a lot of trouble with using the right words. The teacher has presented examples, articles on how to write the best bio. I tried really hard to put into words my personality. Honestly, this took me almost an hour. Still, I am not satisfied with the results. I think the reason is the amount of taking after propositions. In that kind of situation, I check out every portfolio websites. When I did the artist's page research, I still was staring into my case.
The time pressure forced me to do something with the bio page. I tried to be an open-minded person, with unbelievable willingness and power. Every sentence should be short and well prepared. So I did it. To be sure, with long research to find the right word. It was the ''old-soul''. A lot of dictionaries shown the slang options. It made me a big laugh. To sum up, I learned more than I expected.
This is obviously a work in progress, but be careful on your about me writing that you don't mix third and first person - choose one or the other (either I, Me, etc. OR She, Luiza, Her, etc.). Remember the questions from class (on the handout and powerpoint) to help you with the information you should include especially about who you want to be in the future in Graphic Design.
