Yesterday I started to collect all my ideas behind the project title ''Primitivism. Enjoy your ride into the past''.
I found it easier for me, to pop everything into the Milanote. I have using this website for each term, I could not imagine more accessible source. It allows me to simple insert any pictures I would like (with limited quantity)
Here is a link
I want to digging deep into research and possible solutions. Different perspectives and approaches would have a significant place in terms of my final outcome.
Quickly summing up those points, I came up with:
For 2D pieces;
hand painted versions by gouache or tempera
hand sketched and digitalised
a 4 pieces present following pictures: portrait (of someone), pet, town and vegetation.
a 4 pieces present illustrative adaptation of lyrics (from 60' - because of much more possibilities to visualise the content by using Naive art
For 3D piece: (using clay)
a highly inspired version of wooden stroke with exotic theme
a highly inspired version of exotic masks
a relief taken from the lyric illustrations
a mask or clay bust of one of the character or object taken from the lyric illustrations
Some good ideas here - I like the idea of illustrating a lyric with your 2D work. One question - would using clay really be stretching yourself? Would you be learning a new skill by doing this? Could your bust be more of a statement? Could you consider using other materials or adding a mix of materials to your bust either as decoration or as a way of linking it to your illustrations?
