The part with colouring always scared me. Therefore today when I know what I will face this challenge I was scared and anxious. Virtually, it is the most important part of this project - colours. This is a part of my discovery. The part of digging into the subject, showing what I remember from the researchers.

I was not able to manage thoughtfully next steps. I coloured only the head in two strips. For one moment, I established a new approach; to coloured two strips at once. I have a little experience with watercolours. Maybe I took an approach before, with the Yoko-Lennon piece. However, I felt not ready to compete with this task. Then, considering a small amount of time and the biggest high advanced goal, I literally burst into tears.
I needed a new, more effective plan. I have got watercolour pencils, acrylic markers and paints.
It was not the right idea. Watercolours are not for covering a large field. The process extended in time, by filling a new dose of water and mixing tones. Therefore, I came up with using watercolour pencils instead. However, I do not have a full set of colours.
I took a break, of course. And in the meantime, I was watching videos with comic tutorials. Most of them include digital painting. Finally, I saw a tutorial with a book illustrator. I have followed those steps. I needed a breakthrough with this media. Surely, I made a few mistakes from the beginning. The brush fell out from my hand causing little spatters in the wrong places. Moreover, I did not know really whether I am ready to paint this piece.
I turned back to the first solution. It was the most anxious part of the process. I played music and allowed myself to finish this page. Whatever the results would be.
According to my notes around the drawings, I implemented my palette choices. The second strip was a bit blurred. Although, I was working on the act of desperation with plenty of psychedelic music.
The second part went to be sharper. As I explained before, due to the length of the song, I created a second page. In contrary to the previous piece, I was focusing on saturative tones.
When I am looking at those outcomes now, I am not satisfied with the results. Probably due to the first approach and thus related mistakes.
My goal for the next colouring will be surely examining colours and letting them dry. Sometimes I was acting too quick, which as result, I made unnecessary stains.
Moreover, I will try to be more precise by distinguishing each section to create neat illustrations.
This might be something we have discussed earlier in the term, but how are you adding the text? Are you digitising the images and then adding text or making it by hand? We can talk about this in the tutorial tomorrow.
