Luiza Plak - my materials investigation

 Today I assumed to finish the struggles within the text and merging spaces. In this post, I will talk through the struggles that I met during the process. The updates I started from the titles. As far as I know, it should distinguish the inside text - lyrics, and main titles above. I considered the bold version, however, it covered the illustrations, it pulled more attention as it supposed to be. I picked two fonts. This one on the righthand side seems to be modernistic, maybe it would fit better for the newspaper. On the other hand, the left font option I took from the back cover titles. It would make an equally impression and harmony within the text. I turned to the lyrics because the previous scheme was eye confusing and unable to read.  The biggest disadvantage is the autonomous length of each song. All the pages inside the book are finished, however, the cover needs to meet with the final touch. Today I switched the software into photoshop. By using a graphic tablet, I was planning to change the titles and overall look of the cover. To make sure that I will follow my guidance, I followed the notes from the sketch. Fortunately, I scanned all the sheets so I have everything to complete this step.  I changed the titles, by copying them from the black outlined version. And easing the old ones. I coloured the ribbons on the sides, as a trial of the watercolour mode paintbrush.  I wanted to replace the title Lonely Hearts, however, in order to do this, I would need to change all scheme what I had established. I changed the size of the main titles. In terms of design, I filled brackets for matching with an outline. The harder part was with the second line of the title. It was unexpectedly a long text to fit on the cover. I have looked at the titles from the Mamas&Papas doll...

I have scanned all sheets alongside with my pencil sketches. They will be significant as a record of thoughts about the colours. -With black&white (ink) and in colour.  This means that it is time to ''glue'' those pages in order to embed the book. Firstly, I pasted the pages onto Photoshop. I used option ''levels'' to reach proper contrast or saturation. I cleaned the page from the black bits. When I reassured myself that I made the clear, contrasted version. Thereafter, I placed the page onto Illustrator software.  I traced and embed the picture settings in the default high-quality version. Unfortunately, the embed version has white elements attached to the black outline. Of course, I have a problem with deleting this from the image. I tried to find a solution on youtube. But for me it is hard to explain my problem, I can't usually specify and put into words software problems.  I cannot find anything helpful. I came back to the software to find ...
